Elizabeth Friend is a middle school librarian in Frisco, Texas. Being the mother of four grown sons, she's an "honorary boy" herself and is always on the lookout for something that will appeal to the average middle-school male! (Oh...and girls too. Really.) For full annotations of the books she reviews here, go to goodreads.com, do a search for Liz Friend, and submit a friend request.
Who's channeling June?
Robin Henry is a librarian at South Belton Middle School in Belton, Texas. She has formerly been a middle/high school and college librarian and member of the Tayshas committee for the Texas Library Association. As a result, she has read many, many terrible YA books and some good ones, too. Life is too short to read terrible books! Robin's mission is to help fellow readers get the most out of the time they have to read by spending it with quality reading material--it doesn't have to be highbrow, but it should at least entertain you intelligently. She also wants you to know what the professional reviews don't always tell you about the content of YA books so that you can make reading and purchasing decisions based on as much information as possible.
